  • Each channel comprises of a preamp, a shaping amp, a peak hold, a discriminator and associated digital logic.

GLAST Calorimeter ASIC

  • 1.2 micron CMOS, Orbit ( SuperTex Semicounductor)
  • 2 gain ranges to pulse height analyze signal in the range 2 Mev to
  • 100 Gev for the Cesium Iodide Calorimeter
  • High Gain Preamp : 2 - 800 Mev range
  • Noise : 2000 electrons for Cd = 75 Pf - measured
  • Low Gain Preamp : 40Mev - 100 Gev
  • linearity of gain channels : 0.5 %
